ABOUT PARTNER AFRICA
A pioneer in the field of ethical, responsible business solutions.
With offices in Nairobi, Cairo, Cape Town and London, our skilled and passionate team works in partnership across 50 countries in Africa and the Near East to deliver impactful and innovative solutions for social compliance and sustainability.
Our vision is to improve the livelihoods of workers and producers, and facilitate access to local and international markets.
Our mission is to be the leading social enterprise in ethical trade across Africa and we aim to achieve this through growing our operations, adding value to our clients and maximising our development impact.
Our values are:
“The lessons that we’ve learned through the trainers from Partner Africa I believe will improve our lives today and tomorrow. I’ve been trained as a Lead Farmer, and am now passing on this knowledge to 150 other farmers from my area”
Rahab Angila, Tea Grower, Kenya
SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS
Partner Africa’s work directly contributes to SDGs 8, 12 and 17 and indirectly supports 1, 2 and 5.
“We truly value Partner Africa as an independent partner. Through thorough assessments into aspects of our value chain, they help to identify areas and means for improvements. They are known for their integrity, independence and hands-on approach, which allows us to implement concrete actions.”

Local People, Local Solutions
By employing local expertise, we give our clients a unique insight into the context, culture, regulations, standards, labour laws and working practices in the countries where we work. This ensures that our services are well-designed and take account of local cultural, political and economic dynamics.
Partner Africa uses a combination of participatory methodologies and techniques throughout all our ethical trade services. This allows for the inclusion of all levels of workers in auditing activities, research and training programmes, regardless of literacy or language barriers. We actively search for new and innovative ways of involving stakeholders in the process.
Working In Partnership
Developing partnerships and joining trade associations secures our profile as a credible body within the industry and enables us to develop services to meet sector needs and market demand. Our participation in public-private partnerships and donor programmes enables us to bring direct economic and social benefits to workers, while creating opportunities to innovate and demonstrate good practice.
Partner Africa is an approved ethical audit and consultancy services provider to a wide range of leading international brands and retailers.
We employ a good balance of both genders and strive for diversity in our project teams. This ensures that the profile of the workforce is reflected in the make-up of the team as workers are more comfortable when they engage in worker interviews, surveys and training programmes.
Extensive Pan African Network
Partner Africa is operational across five regions: North Africa & the Near East, Southern Africa, East and Central Africa, West Africa and the Indian Ocean.
We aim to improve the livelihoods of local workers and producers and advance regional and international trade opportunities, while supporting socially responsible and sustainable business practices. Any surplus generated from our services is used as seed capital to access larger funds from institutional donors so that we can work to improve and understand working conditions and labour rights and deliver trade development projects supporting the livelihoods of vulnerable workers and their communities.
