Emarie is the Head of Audits for Partner Africa and based in Cape Town, South Africa. She leads the audit team and activities in North, East, Central, West and Southern Africa. Emarie is responsible for providing the strategic direction of the audit programme, quality assurance and client relation management for all of Partner Africa audit clients. She is passionate about customer service with a mission to ensure that Partner Africa is the preferred audit company for Social Compliance Audits not because of the best rates but for delivering the best service.
Emarie has a background in Public Relations, Accounting, Business Administration and Management. She is a certified Train the Trainer and fluent in Afrikaans and English.
Rosie joined Partner Africa in 2024 in the role of Head of Advisory. She is highly experienced in managing Human Rights and Workplace audit programmes across global and multi-tier value chains, as well as conducting Human Rights Due Diligence. She has additional expertise in driving carbon reductions for Scope 3 suppliers aligned with SBTi 1.5°C targets.
Rosie has extensive experience leading international cross-functional teams in complex and dynamic regulatory environments, encompassing sustainability, tech solutions, procurement, supply chain, product development, technical operations, regulatory compliance, and marketing. She possesses excellent project management skills underpinned by a highly structured, finance- and process-driven approach to meet key goals and deliver tangible, measurable results within complex businesses. As a thought leader, she combines outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, engage, and negotiate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.

I started my working career in the human rights / social justice development sector in rural South Africa 20 years ago working with various NGOs along the way. My involvement in the area of ethical trade started 13 years ago in South Africa. I am a Certified Social Compliance Auditor with experience in social auditing in various industries throughout Africa.
My family is hugely important to me and spending time in remote mountainous and desert spaces my absolute best experience.
Natalie joined Partner Africa in 2019, prior to this she worked for a certification audit company in the agriculture industry and a South African standard body for 7 years where she supported with administrative functions, scheduling of audits, supporting on Sedex and client relations.
Natalie supports the Partner Africa audits department as Scheduling Manager and is based in Cape Town, South Africa. She manages the Partner Africa team of audit coordinators and audit plans for all regions in Africa. She maintain client relationships in Southern Africa region by guiding suppliers on the full audit process and the different platforms. Natalie is very customer focussed and passionate about the industry and excited about the changes occurring in livelihoods of people in Africa on a daily basis. ”Each one of us can make a difference. Natalie is married with two children and living in Cape Town. She is fluent in Afrikaans and English.
Richard joined Partner Africa in August 2019. Prior to this, he worked as a French-English bilingual Customer Service Professional and Lead Customer Information Centre Personnel.
Richard supports the Partner Africa audits department as audits coordinator and he is based in Nairobi, Kenya. He coordinates audits and guides suppliers on correcting non-compliances in North, East, West, Central Africa regions.
Richard holds Bachelor of Commerce degree in HR Management from the Mount Kenya University and DELF B1, DELF B2 & DALF C1 in French as a foreign language from Alliance Française de Nairobi.
Engelinda has worked in a variety of sectors and joined Partner Africa in 2022 with over 20 years’ experience in the Food Processing and Agricultural industry. She is also an experienced auditor and consultant with a rich knowledge and understanding of the various standards and their scopes, including produce, meats, flour, food and beverages, as well as the standard methodologies, including BRCGS Food and Storage and Distributing, FSSC, ISO 9001,YUM, GlobalG.A.P (IFA & Poultry), GRASP, SIZA, and more.
Engelinda spearheads the audit accreditation and certification portfolio for Partner Africa and is based in Ceres, South Africa. She is passionate about empowering and uplifting others, and feels strongly about making a positive impact in the industry and in the lives of people. Engelinda believes that our collective power is perfectly captured by the words of Paulo Coelho: “When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better too.”
Valerie joined Partner Africa in January 2018. Prior to this she worked as a French teacher and did translation work. She did volunteering work at Athletics Kenya supporting with interpretation and awarding.
Valerie supports the Partner Africa audits department as audits coordinator and she is based in Nairobi, Kenya. She coordinates audits and maintain client relationships, providing guidance to suppliers on correcting non-compliances in the Central, East and West African region.
Valerie has a bachelor’s degree in education French from Kenyatta University and also has a certificate in DELF B1 and B2 from the Alliance Français de Nairobi.
She is fluent in English and French.
Jacqueline joined Partner Africa as Quality Manager in December 2022. As a Certified Social Compliance Auditor with over 11 years experience of social auditing, Jacqueline has worked throughout Africa and Europe in various industries and against numerous standards.
She strives to work in partnership with clients in order to shift perspectives of social compliance; from being a necessary and often unwanted requirement to being a supportive, collaborative service and risk management tool as well as a powerful channel for creating ethical productivity.
Of great importance to Jacqueline is the focus Partner Africa put on motivating clients to implement responsible and generative business practices that improve the lives of workers in supply chains throughout Africa.
Jacqueline holds an MSc in Development Studies from SOAS (University of London) and BSocSci (Honours) in Social Policy and Management (University of Cape Town).
Charity joined Partner Africa in April 2021. Prior to this, she worked with the UN Global Compact local network in Kenya for over a year as an intern and shortly as the Participant Engagement Assistant before leaving. She supported as the main contact and communications assistant for the network.
Charity is the Audits Administration Assistant supporting Partner Africa Audits team inCentral, East and West Africa regions. She is located in Kenya and supports with coordination of audits and auditor logistics.
Charity has a diploma and degree in Public Relations and is eager to learn more about Social Compliance. She is fluent in English & Swahili and is very determined to learn French.
Jana joined Partner Africa in Sept 2024. She is originally from Loeriesfontein in the Northern Cape and grew up on a farm and currently based in Cape Town.
She has worked in the System and Certification industry for the last 17 years where she expanded her knowledge and skills in the Agricultural sector in audit scheduling and post audit.
She loves farm life and working with farmers. She has a passion for the industry and believes in delivering the best quality work. She believes that every day is a new day to make a change and learn something new.
Asavela Mteto joined Partner Africa in October 2023 as a Trainee Social Auditor and Administrator, bringing expertise in sustainable agriculture and horticulture. Originally from the Eastern Cape and raised in Cape Town. Asavela holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Sustainable Agriculture (University of Free State) and an Advanced Diploma in Horticulture (Cape Peninsula University of Technology).
She started her early career as a trainee technical assistant in a citrus research lab, where she leveraged her knowledge in fruit production and horticulture to support post-harvest technicians in trials on alternative fungicides for European citrus exports. Asavela then moved to join the citrus primary production sector where she entered as a production intern overseeing daily operations, team supervision, and SIZA/Global Gap training. She also served as an assistant agricultural practitioner at the Department of Agriculture.
Driven by a deep passion for the industry, Asavela is committed to advocating for vulnerable workers and empowering businesses to adopt sustainable practices. She is fluent in English and IsiXhosa and currently learning Afrikaans.

Chiara joined Partner Africa as a Senior Responsible Business Consultant in 2023. She has worked on various advisory projects to promote responsible business practices across Africa that respect workers’ human rights and improve working conditions.
Before joining Partner Africa, she worked with international organisations, legal services and advisory firms on business and human rights and responsible business conduct, where she conducted research and legal analyses on human rights due diligence across various sectors. Chiara holds a BA in International Relations and an LLM in International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights.
Janie has extensive experience in research and analysing global supply chains in multiple countries in Africa. She has been working as an Audit Quality and Responsible Business Consultant for Partner Africa for 4 years, and currently lives in South Africa. Janie is a qualified Social Lead Auditor with over 10 years’ experience in various auditing schemes in the agricultural and industrial sectors. She’s been involved in various projects dealing with the salient risks of supply chains in the context of agricultural commodities. Janie also holds a PhD in the Humanities and has an academic background in the theoretical development of the intersections of socio-ecological issues and researching environmental and social injustices in rural southern Africa. She is an expert in research and auditing methodologies (focussed interviews, case studies, life stories, and so on) and is passionate about the value of qualitative research in understanding global trade networks and human rights issues.
Miriam Wanjiru Mogotu is an Assistant Consultant at Partner Africa, joining the team in 2023. She has experience in research specifically on the Kenyan agricultural supply chains, gender inequality, human rights and climate change. She is passionate about gender equality and human rights especially in the agricultural supply chains and believes in coming up with solutions to issues through the collection, analysis and dissemination of evidence- based research. She has been involved in several research projects as a research assistant and an independent consultant including: a study on the Gender Biasness in adoption of Climate Smart Agricultural Practices and Technologies in various agricultural supply chains in Kenya and a study under Women in Global Health (WGH) on the gender issues and inequalities surrounding Women in Leadership in the Health sector in Kenya.
She has an academic background in Food Science and Technology and International Development Studies. She assists in the Advisory department with Desk research, project design and management, business development and networking and supporting with field research.
Anne Wanjiru Miano joined Partner Africa in 2024 as an intern in the Advisory group. She brings a rich background in Food Safety and Quality, with extensive experience in the manufacturing industry, specifically in the dairy and confectionery sectors, where she excelled as a Quality Assurance professional. As a Project Officer, she played a pivotal role in implementing agricultural projects and analyzing industry standards such as BRC, FSCC, ISO-QMS & FSMS, and TESCO.
She is deeply passionate about international development, and her dedication to creating systems that enhance sustainable and resilient agricultural value chains reflects that commitment. Her academic achievements include a BSc. in Food Science and Technology, and she further specialized with an MSc. in Food Safety and Quality. Currently, she is pursuing a Master’s degree in International Development through the AMID Young Professionals Program, further expanding her expertise in this field.
With hands-on experience in the manufacturing industry and as a technical and participatory researcher, she has had the opportunity to collaborate with various stakeholders in agricultural value chains during project implementations. She is particularly passionate about fostering inclusive work environments, especially for vulnerable workers, and advocates for safe workspaces for women, equal pay, protection from sexual harassment and exploitation, as well as access to mothering facilities and maternity leave.
Bea joined Partner Africa in 2021, prior to this she worked in the hospitality industry for 14 years where she assisted the Accountant. She has background knowledge and experience in a Reception position, Stock Control, Creditors, Debtors and Payroll.
Bea is the Invoicing and Debtors Clerk for Partner Africa and based in Cape Town, South Africa. She does the invoicing and debtors for Southern Africa region. Bea is responsible for sending all quotations and invoices and following up on outstanding debtors. She is passionate about customer service with a mission to ensure that Partner Africa delivers the best service.
Bea has a background in Accounting and fluent in Afrikaans and English.
